John T. Hanson

John T. Hanson ’13, ’90, Chair

John T. Hanson, CCC Alumni Class of 2013 & 1990, has been a member of the Camden County College Board of Trustees since January 2013 and has served as Board Chair since March 2013. Mr. Hanson is the Chief Executive Officer of the Delaware River Port Authority. He first came to the Delaware River Port Authority in 2002 as a commissioner and chair of the board’s finance committee. In November 2004, he became the Authority’s Chief Financial Officer, a position he held until he was appointed acting Chief Executive Officer in January 2014 and Chief Executive Officer in May 2014.

As CEO, Mr. Hanson emphasizes stewardship and public service as the root of the Authority’s mission and purpose, saying, “We are stewards of the important transportation assets and other resources. We hold them in trust for their owners: the public. We protect, maintain and operate them on behalf of the community. The domains of that stewardship includes the Authority’s transportation assets –— bridge and transit infrastructure -— as well as the human and financial resources that are dedicated to serving the community.”

He is a practitioner of the Lean Six Sigma business process improvement methodology, in which he has attained the level of black belt. Beginning in 2009, he initiated a Lean Six Sigma pilot program for more than 100 participants from DRPA and PATCO. A dozen teams completed process improvement projects in areas ranging from procurement and contracting procedures to the budget process to the process for planning capital improvement projects. The recommendations generated by the teams helped reduce time and redundancies and led to increases in productivity at the Authority. “The Lean Government program dramatically demonstrated the talent and skills of our employees as well the power of teamwork and collaborative effort,” Hanson says.

Mr. Hanson brings both public and private sector experience to the job. He was Chief Financial Officer and Vice-President of Finance for a large healthcare firm in Cherry Hill, New Jersey until he joined the administration of New Jersey Governor Christine Todd Whitman in 1998. He served as Senior Vice President for Strategic Initiatives with the Department of Commerce, and represented the Secretary of Commerce on the boards of numerous development authorities and task forces. In addition, he served on the New Jersey Sales and Use Tax Commission from 2000 to 2002. He returned to private industry in 2002 as Executive Vice President and General Manager of a large New Jersey-based recycling/manufacturing firm, where he remained until coming to the DRPA in 2004. Mr. Hanson also served as the deputy mayor of the Borough of Audubon, New Jersey from 1997 to 2001.

Mr. Hanson is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) licensed in the State of New Jersey and a Chartered Global Management Accountant (CGMA). He graduated magna cum laude from Drexel University in 1990 with a BS in accounting. He earned an MBA from St. Joseph’s University in May 2007, graduating with honors. Additionally, he has earned certificates from Cornell University in Executive Leadership (2008), Change Management (2009), and Leading Management Teams (2009). A lifelong learner, Mr. Hanson began studying improvisational comedy at Philly Improv Theater in January 2014. “I got interested when I heard it was recommended for business leaders,” he says. “Improv demands that you listen, collaborate and react at the top of your intelligence. You learn to trust and support your teammates.” Mr. Hanson and his wife live in Cherry Hill, with their college-age son; they have five other grown children.


Susan R. Croll

Susan R. Croll, Vice Chair

Susan R. Croll has been a member of the Camden County College Board of Trustees since 2005 and has served as Vice Chair since 2014. Ms. Croll is a retired higher education professional. Her career in higher education administration began as a student financial aid officer at the University of Pennsylvania, followed by service in the U.S. Department of Education as a student financial aid program officer and later as a Guaranteed Student Loan branch chief. Returning to Penn as Director of Admissions for the School of Medicine, she subsequently became Executive Director of Educational Administration, overseeing the administrative programs and processes that supported the program of medical education. At the time of her retirement, she served as the Senior Executive Director of Administration for the School of Medicine, with oversight responsibilities in the financial, research administration, human resources, planning and academic review functions of the medical school.

A resident of Gibbsboro, New Jersey, Ms. Croll serves on Gibbsboro’s Planning and Zoning Board, Environmental Commission, and Green Team. She is a member of the Burrison Art Gallery Advisory Committee at the University of Pennsylvania and is a Penn alumni volunteer.

Ms. Croll received her baccalaureate degree in English literature and a master’s degree in public administration from the University of Pennsylvania.


Anthony J. Maressa

Anthony J. Maressa ’70, Secretary

Anthony J. Maressa, CCC Alumni Class of 1970, has been a member of the Camden County College Board of Trustees since 1998 and has been the Secretary since 2014. He is also a member of the Camden County College Foundation and a New Jersey Community College Ambassador.

Mr. Maressa is an Insurance Claims Manager for Maressa Patterson Law Firm and a Property Liaison for Lower County Property Management.

A resident of Voorhees since 1990, Mr. Maressa is a member of the Voorhees Cultural and Diversity Board, Camden County Hero Scholarship, Knights of Columbus, and Lions Club International.

Mr. Maressa has an Associate in Arts degree from Camden County College, a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from Glassboro State College, and a Juris Doctor from Delaware Law School/Widener University.


Brett Wiltsey

Brett Wiltsey, Treasurer

Brett Wiltsey has been a member of the Camden County College Board of Trustees since 2014 and has served as Treasurer since 2015. Mr. Wiltsey has a diverse and multi-faceted practice throughout the northeast corridor. He regularly counsels clients in litigation strategy, real estate development, tax credits and financial incentives and government relations. His financial services practice includes guidance to regional and national financial institutions in litigation concerning Articles 3, 4 and 4A of the Uniform Commercial Code, Federal Regulation E, consumer fraud, fraudulent endorsements and similar litigation matters, as well as workout, bankruptcy, and the drafting of loan and loan modification documents.

Mr. Wiltsey counsels middle market and emerging growth companies as their general counsel. This representation involves providing counsel to clients with regard to in growth strategies, formation documents, shareholder and operating agreements, litigation (commercial disputes, consumer fraud, and employment), real estate and land use needs, employment litigation, non-compete agreements, and merger and acquisitions. Many emerging companies have requested assistance through the Firm’s Exchange to build relationships with venture capital and other alternative financing models.

Further, Mr. Wiltsey represents municipalities and related governmental entities throughout the State of New Jersey as special counsel focusing on litigation, real estate, redevelopment, and associated issues.

Representative Experience

  • Represented a large financial institution in a multi-million dollar work-out with regard to a large regional developer.
  • Counseled national corporations defending them in class action and consumer fraud claims.
  • Represented a large financial institution in the sale of a multi-million dollar hotel through a third-party plan filed by the institution in bankruptcy proceeding.
  • Represented multiple contractors in defense of preference actions brought by the Bankruptcy Trustee in the Kara Homes, Inc. bankruptcy case.
  • Represented a financial institution in prosecuting fraudulent endorsement claims.
  • Represented clients in the purchase and sale of real estate and liquor license.
  • Represented general contractor in negotiating contract to build an $8 million hotel and, after the owners defaulted, negotiated with the lenders to ensure financing was available to complete project to ensure client’s contract was satisfied in full.
  • Acted as development/redevelopment counsel to both private and public entities which has resulted in the development of over a billion dollars of residential, commercial, and mixed used projects.

Annette Castiglione

Annette Castiglione

Annette Castiglione has been a member of the Camden County College Board of Trustees since 2003. Mrs. Castiglione graduated from Canisius College in 1976 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary and Special Education. She began her teaching career as a second-grade teacher in New York. After moving to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, she taught Language Arts at a West Philadelphia high school. In 1981, she received her Master’s in Education from Temple University, with her certification as a Reading Specialist.

Ms. Castiglione chose to stay home to raise her three children until 1990. At this time, she returned to her career as an educator first as the Reading Specialist at the Mill Creek School in Philadelphia and then as a reading teacher at Camden High School. In 1999, she joined the fledgling staff of the newly opened Creative Arts High School as the Whole School Reform Facilitator and Reading Specialist. During her tenure there she earned her second Master’s in Education from Rowan University. The Master’s thesis Ms. Castiglione pursued at Rowan explored the Abbot rulings and their effect on education reform in the State of New Jersey. This served her well when she accepted a position at the Department of Education in 2002. She spent the next five years directing more than fifty program and fiscal staff members as they provided technical support to thirty-one Abbot Districts. Ms. Castiglione joined the Bellmawr Learning Community as its superintendent in April of 2007. She is dedicated to helping the community grow and build on its strong foundation of excellence for each student. Ms. Castiglione’s commitment to the families and students of Bellmawr has brought much needed change including the building of a new early childhood center.


Jen Cooley Fleisher

Jen Cooley Fleisher

Jen Cooley Fleisher is dedicated to advancing educational standards and enriching the quality of life in her community. She is the founder of a holistic health education consulting business, providing services to a broad spectrum of clients, including non-profits, school districts, corporations, and community organizations.

As an active community leader, Jen is currently serving on the Board of Directors for Foundations Inc., a national non-profit dedicated to enhancing educational outcomes by empowering educators and expanding student services. She has also served on the Cherry Hill Board of Education, where she chaired the Policy and Legislation Committee, and is a past president of the Cherry Hill Zone PTA. Additionally, Jen is an active Board member of the Cherry Hill Education Foundation and participates in the Camden County Addiction Awareness Task Force. Her previous roles include Director of the Cherry Hill Alliance on Alcohol and Drug Abuse and Community Services Director for the American Heart Association.

Jen holds a BA in Exercise Physiology from Ithaca College, where she also serves as a Director of the Alumni Association. She has earned executive certification in Leadership from the University of Pennsylvania. Jen lives in Cherry Hill, NJ, with her husband and three children.


Dr. S. Jay Mirmanesh

Dr. S. Jay Mirmanesh ’76

Dr. S. Jay Mirmanesh, CCC Alumni Class of 1976, was appointed to the Camden County College Board of Trustees in September 2018.
Dr. Mirmanesh is a board-certified pediatrician, pediatric educator and a specialist in newborn intensive care. He completed his pediatric residency at the Medical College of Pennsylvania and his neonatology fellowship at The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. He also received his MBA from the University of South Florida.

Dr. Mirmanesh was instrumental in founding the Newborn Intensive Care Unit at Virtua Memorial Hospital in Mount Holly. He later established the Newborn Intensive Care Unit at Easton Hospital in Easton, PA. He then founded the Center for Pediatric and Adult Medicine which is now Advocare Mirmanesh Pediatric & Adult Medicine with three offices located in Marlton, Voorhees, and Sicklerville.

Dr. Mirmanesh is currently a Clinical Associate Professor of Pediatrics at Drexel University College of Medicine and served on their Medical Advisory Board. He is also a member of the Medical Executive Committee of Virtua Hospital and Vice President of the Medical Staff. He has been “Top Doc” South Jersey Magazine for the past six years, Physician of the year New Jersey Magazine, and “Top Doc” Adolescent Medicine in South Jersey Magazine. He has been elected as the Physician for the Philadelphia Flyers family for the past twenty years. His practice also has been the site for teaching medical students, nurse practitioner students, and nurse practitioner doctorate degree students. He resides in Voorhees with his wife, Lisa, who is also the practice administrator. He is proud to have their son, Dr. John Mirmanesh in practice with them and looking forward to having their younger son, Dr. Michael Mirmanesh, joining the practice as a plastic surgeon and his wife Dr. Devon Ganter, a pediatrician, in 2020.

Dr. Jay, as he is called by his patients, loves taking care of his patients, teaching and he and his wife mostly love spending time with their grandchildren.


Carmen Rodriguez

Carmen G. Rodriguez

Born in Puerto Rico, Carmen Rodriguez moved to Philadelphia with her mother and brother when she was four before moving to Camden City at the age of 12. Education was a core value instilled by her mother which characterizes every aspect of her life.

After graduating from Woodrow Wilson High School with honors, she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in biological science with a minor in Spanish from Rutgers University. She went on to earn two Master’s degrees: A Master of Education degree in Teaching English as a Second Language from The College of New Jersey and a Master of Chemistry Education from the University of Pennsylvania. She also earned an Ed.S. degree in Education Leadership.

Carmen views public services as the most important responsibility she has. As she earned her advanced degrees in her quest to enhance her craft, Carmen taught science in both Camden City and Audubon school districts. She has teaching certificates in Physical Science, Biological Science, Bilingual Science and K-8 education. As a high school science teacher, she taught students of all skill levels with the goals of encouraging students to be curious, inquisitive, and comprehensive, before becoming a teacher of teacher as a principal, supervisor, and finally a Lead Educator.

Her education and experience as a teacher and a parent motivated her to expand her role as a public servant, becoming the first Hispanic member of the Camden County Board of Commissioners. As an educator and the mother of four children, Commissioner Rodriguez knows the value of strong families and the power that education brings to young people. She also led the Camden City Department of Human Services in her continued quest to improve the lives of others through public service.

Carmen Rodriguez has received many honors including the Good Neighbor Award by the Camden County Branch of the American Red Cross, the Legislator of the Year Award from the National Association of Women Business Owners, and was named one of the Delaware Valley’s Most Influential Latinas in 2014.


Jessica Stewart

Jessica R. Stewart ’09

Jessica R. Stewart, CCC Alumni Class of 2009, has been a member of the Camden County College Board of Trustees since 2017. She is also a member of the Camden County College Foundation.

Ms. Stewart is a Senior Associate at RP Consulting, LLC, a political consulting firm specializing in fundraising, event planning, and compliance.

A resident of Merchantville, Ms. Stewart is a member of several women’s and activist organizations, and she serves on various executive and advisory boards and committees including the Merchantville Planning Board, Maria’s Women United, and the NJ Migrant Worker Outreach Organization. She is also an alumna member of the sorority Sigma Delta Tau, Delta Zeta Chapter.

Ms. Stewart received her Associate’s Degree in English from Camden County College in 2009 and her Bachelor’s Degree in English from Rutgers University, Camden in 2012.


Judith J. Ward

Judith J. Ward

Judith J. Ward has been a member of the Camden County College Board of Trustees since 2015. Ms. Ward is president and CEO of Advanced Enviro Systems, a Chester, PA based company she co-founded in 1996.  Following nine years at the helm of the largest privately owned waste hauling, transfer and recycling firm in the Greater Philadelphia region, Ms. Ward decided to build a company with the purpose of creating waste reduction and recycling programs that yield environmental, social, and fiscal returns. Among her many client partners are Wawa, Marriott, Caesar’s Entertainment, Waste Management, and Glaxo Smith Kline.

Ms. Ward holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Rutgers University and a Master of Business Administration from Saint Joseph’s University, and is formerly a part time lecturer at the Rutgers School of Business. Ms. Ward also serves on the Advisory Board to Saint Joseph’s University’s Arrupe Center for Business Ethics. She has served previously on the Board of Directors of the Pennsylvania Resources Council, and as Vice-Chair of the Board of Directors of the Sunshine Foundation.


Kimberly Fassano

Kimberly Fassano ’24, Alumna Trustee

Kimberly Fassano graduated from Camden County College in 2024 after constructing her own unconventional journey towards her degree. Her college experience was initially put on hold while her younger adult life was focused on family and raising her children. Though she is a busy mom of eight children, she is also hardworking and driven. She returned to campus with a new mindset and fresh perspective, majoring in Psychology, and earned her Associates in Arts and Sciences degree in May 2024. Kimberly is currently studying Psychology at Rowan University.

While attending Camden County College, she earned her membership in the Psi Beta Psychology National Honor Society, as well as Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society. She also received the Psychology Academic Excellence Award for the 2023-2024 academic year.

In addition to her education, Kimberly devotes her time to helping others. She volunteers with the Petey Greene Program providing individualized tutoring and training for incarcerated people seeking their GED and higher education. She is also a HeartSupport Replier, providing mental health support, compassion, and empathy to those in need.

Kimberly’s journey and experiences have taught her great skills in leadership, communication, time management, and balancing responsibilities. It has also allowed her to demonstrate immense empathy, compassion, understanding and patience towards others.

Putting the betterment for both the college and the student body as a top priority, Kimberly is hoping to create more involvement and a united community both on and off campus to enhance the college experience. She is looking forward to taking concerns, thoughts, ideas, and suggestions and weaving them with input and plans to build a better tomorrow.
